Eric Dougherty’s Leadership and Expertise
Eric Dougherty brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in environmental management, hydrogeology, permitting, and project leadership to Sunstone. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geological and Geophysical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management from Saint Leo University, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Before co-founding Sunstone, Eric served as Environmental Manager at Elko Mining Group, where he earned the 2018 Safety Champion award from the Nevada Mining Association. His career also includes key roles at Farr West Engineering and the Nevada Division of Minerals. As President, Eric leads a rapidly growing, team-driven firm that delivers innovative environmental consulting and project excellence to the mining industry.
